Planning for Success with the SAT!
Is your child planning to take the SAT? When should they take it? How should they prepare? Be sure to talk to your high schooler's counselor about all their college preparation activities, but below is a recommended timeline for SAT test taking:

PSAT: Take in Fall of Sophomore and/or Junior Year

SAT: Most take in Spring of Junior Year; Retake in Fall of Senior Year if needed
(More advanced students may take in Fall of Junior Year; Re-take in Spring of Junior Year or Fall of Senior Year)
- SAT Subject Tests - Take in May or June of Junior Year, or fall of Senior Year; Plan to take subject tests shortly after completing the course in the specific subject area.
